Norma Linda Zimmerman

1963 ~ 2023

Norma Linda Zimmerman (Rodriguez) was called home to God on Monday, November 13, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.

Norma was born on April 1, 1963, in Texas to Jesus and Antonia Rodriguez. She was raised in Idaho and lived there through high school. After graduation, she moved to Utah. Not long after, she met and married Tim Zimmerman in September of 1984. They shared 39 years of marriage and raised two children together. She was a dedicated mother and always provided support and love for her family.

She worked at Sandy Elementary School for over 15 years in the front office. She enjoyed being able to interact with students, teachers, and parents.

It would be wrong to say that Norma lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Norma stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Norma. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, one nephew, and two nieces.

Norma is survived by her husband Tim and their children Sebastian (Makayla) and Cecilia, four grandchildren, three brothers, and four sisters.

A celebration of life will be held on April 1, 2024.
