Our beloved son, brother, husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully from this mortal life on April 10, 2022 just before his 52nd birthday, surrounded by his loved ones.

Norman Jason Harris was born in Auckland, New Zealand on April 13, 1970 to Norman Harris and Tupou Motulalo Lui. He spent his life in service to God as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and service to his family.

Jason is survived by his eternal companion, co-worker and best friend, Falakesi Ika Harris (wife), his heart; Mabel Linae Tupou Harris (daughter), Spencer Kuku Hautau (son-in-law), and his only son, Johnny Taliauli Harris. Jason also played the role of father to Telesia Marie Vailolo (Mafua Juni Vailolo) and his Princess Nellie Louisa Ramsay. He was the proud grandfather of three; Makayla Aotearoa Elizabeth Vailolo, Jason Johnny Boy Vailolo, Alexsiana Ku’ulei Aeja Vailolo and lastly, he loved his fur baby Milo.

Jason was the eldest of 7 siblings. He served as a great example of a patient and kind brother to his younger siblings; Darren Harris (Manu), Fredrick Vili Harris (Katinia), Mabel Harris, Tilisa Latu (Kotoni), Adney Harris (Leilani), Genae Tonga (Afu) and his parents; Tupou Motulalo Wolfgramm (mother) and Legrand Wolfgramm (step-father).

Jason grew up in Liahona, Tonga around both sides of his family and embraced his Tongan culture. He attended Tonga Side School, Havelu Prep School and Liahona High School. Many of his classmates describe him as a calm and collected peacemaker.

After school in Tonga, he moved to Honolulu, Hawaii to attend BYU-Hawaii. He was then called to serve in the Nukualofa, Tonga mission where he served an honorable LDS mission. Upon returning from his mission, Jason moved to Laie, Hawaii to continue his education. He then later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he would meet the love of his life.

He was married and sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple for time and all eternity to Falakesi Ika on June 4, 1994. Together they raised a beautiful family in the Salt Lake valley where he played a parental role to many nieces and nephews. He was known for his ingenuity, humility and his unconditional love for his wife and children. Jason and his wife worked in the airline industry for many years. They travelled the world for leisure and prioritized making it to family events. They spent the last couple years living in San Francisco, California working for Alaska Airlines where they gained many amazing friends. Jason shared a passion for music and was a talented singer and soloist. Other hobbies he enjoyed were traveling, playing tennis and recreational shooting.

Jason’s departure was unexpected and a tragedy to all who knew and loved him. Jason legacy of humility and unconditional love is one that we can all strive to live by.

Jason was preceded in death by his beloved father Norman Harris, maternal grandparents, Valenisia and Lihai Lui, paternal grandparents, Ema Tupou Fainga’a and Arthur Harris, and mother and father in law, ‘Asaeli and Selu Ika.

We thank the many family members, church family, beloved friends, and co-workers for the love and support during this difficult time. ‘Ofa Lahi Atu.
