George Junior Davis passed away on January 13, 2015. Born to Gladys Abplanalp and Henry Davis on April 8, 1928 in Vernal, Utah. He spent his childhood years in the Uinta Basin. Graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1947. Married Lorna Rae Stoddard and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. Employed by Hill Air Force Base, and retired with 30 years of service in 1986.
George lived in Rose Park and Bountiful. He was proud of his children and grandchildren who brought him much joy. Enjoyed outdoor activities, hunting, fishing and hiking to the High Uintah's. His pets were special to him along with gardening.
Survived by children: Steven Davis, St. George, Utah; Sherie (Jack) Bowen, Sandy, Utah; Clint and Felicia, Salt Lake City, Utah. Grandchildren: Matthew and Alex Bowen and Tyler Davis. Preceded in death by his wife, Lorna Rae Davis; grandchild, Justin Davis; and brother, Don H. Davis.
We'll miss you very much, but it's comforting to know you'll live on through each and every one of us.
Private graveside services for family and relatives were held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Roosevelt Memorial Park Cemetery, Roosevelt, Utah.
