Taylor Steven Wilcox

1991 ~ 2018

The grieving family of Taylor Steven Wilcox, wants to share the news of his passing on May 4th, 2018. He left this earth unexpectedly, following complications from a routine surgical procedure. He was 27 years old. Taylor was born on April 8, 1991 in Salt Lake City.

Taylor was a light to all who knew him. His infectious smile, laugh and sense of humor made him a friend to all those he met. He was a friend of the underdog and always had a kind word of encouragement for friends and family alike. His courage was unprecedented; he met and overcame some of life\s largest obstacles. His strength, resilience and optimism were some of his cardinal qualities. He attended Children\s Discovery, Oakridge and Granite Elementary schools. While at Churchill Jr. High he thoroughly enjoyed the ballroom dancing program. He attended Skyline, Alta and Brighton High Schools.

Taylor met and married Lucia Guerra-Vigil while she was a foreign exchange student at the University of Utah. They later married and moved to her home in Gijon, Spain (later divorced).

He was raised in the Willow Creek and the Granite (Sandy) areas. Taylor is survived by his parents Vicky L. King, Scot B. Wilcox; brothers Cameron, Ethan and Chandler; niece River Ani; as well as his maternal grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins; along with his supportive and caring girlfriend, Cassidy Araklian. He loved his immediate and extended families so very much and always enjoyed being with them.

Taylor\s courage and selfless love was further exhibited, as his wishes to be an organ donor for families in need, were fulfilled. Now, his light will continue to bless the lives of those recipients.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt appreciation to the doctors and staff of both St. Marks ICU, Intermountain Medical Center ICU and the amazing team of the Intermountain Donor Services.

A viewing will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.) on Saturday, May 12th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. At Taylor\s request, a Celebration of Life will follow from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Chateau at The Rose Shop, 1910 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.), Sandy, with an opportunity for all to share stories, memories and experiences of this amazing young man.

He will be laid to rest following the celebration at the Larkin Sunset Gardens located at 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road in Sandy, Utah.
