David Paul White

1940 ~ 2017

Our dear father passed away March 10, 2017. Dad was born August 30, 1940 in Provo, Utah. Dad was the oldest of the seven children, three boys and four girls, Charles Douglas White, (Paul and Patti White) Ron White, Kristine Patrick, Pamelaune Kifer, Cindee May and Rebecca White.

Dad grew up with a love for music and could tell you every instrument by hearing just a few notes. He played the saxophone and clarinet. He was in several bands growing up and which in turn led him to join the United States Navy Band at which he scored the highest marks in his class for the instruments he played. He proudly served in the United States Navy for 4 years.

Dad married Patricia Schwallenberg (later divorced). They had two sons Mark White (Sherree) and Scott White (Michele), four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

After his service in the Navy, he attended the University of Utah and graduated with his law degree and became a very accomplished defense attorney and was still practicing law until his passing.

Dad loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating and camping and he passed that love onto his family. He especially loved fishing at Little Hole on the Green River and camping in the Aspens of Sheep Creek.

He was preceded in death by his father Paul and brother Doug.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday March, 17 at 6:30 pm with visitation beginning at 5:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary located at 10600 South 1950 East Sandy, Utah. Military Honors will be accorded.
