Normalee \"Mimi\" Morris Evans

1920 ~ 2018

Salt Lake City, Ut—Born May 20, 1920 in Rexburg, Idaho. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Normalee passed on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the age of 98. She returned to the loving arms of her husband, Bill, after being married for 55 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents David A. and Iza Burke Morris and 2 brothers, Gayl and Jack along with his wife, Norma. She and her husband, Bill, are the parents of Karolee (Paul) Burningham, David Evans, Holly (Dale) Newton and Debra (Gaylen) Spencer. She was the grandmother to 16 and great-grandmother to 36.

She was an accomplished ballerina. She was Miss Pocatello for the Miss America pagents 2 years in a row. She was first and second runner up to Miss Idaho. She modeled in LA and New York City with prestigious agencies of the time and was featured in fashion magazines, runways and TV commercials. She and her husband served for 5 years as hosts on Temple Square. They also served a mission in New Zealand. Normalee also volunteered at Moss Elementary for 6 years helping teach English to Hispanic students.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, June 29, 2018 at noon at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 17111 S. 1700 W. (Redwood Rd), Bluffdale, UT.
