Brian James Anderson (6/19/1972- 5/19/2017). Our faithful, kind Daddy and husband finished his work on the Earth to continue about his Father's business. Brian was raised in a home filled with love and was given opportunities to pursue his talents and interests including lessons in music voice and oboe and flying lessons.
He learned from his parents how to love others, be loyal to family, and work hard. He laughed, played, and traveled with his siblings sharing paper routes and hot chocolate, trips to Disneyland, and driving in the VW van. He loved his sweet Nan. He loved her gingersnap cookies, sitting on the porch looking at the stars, the way she would fry him an egg, and watching game shows together.
Brian attended Highland High School. Brian has a love for music particularly classical. Brian is a loyal and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Brian served in the Sweden Stockholm mission. His mission president heard his voice and exclaimed "I found my Bass" He actively sought him out to be in Uniton a small missionary performing group that shared the folk music of Sweden. He was grateful for the opportunity to sing the music of this beautiful country.
Upon his return, he met the love of his life Christine Bryner. They are college sweethearts from the University of Utah and shared their love of music in choir. They also sang with the Oratorio Society of Utah. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple in 1995.
Brian completed his education at Salt Lake Community College and Weber State University. He enjoyed his career in the airline and travel industry including Eastern Airlines, Continental, and finally United Airlines. During their ten- year quest for a family they had an opportunity to cherish their relationship. Together with his wife they served the adoption community as Education Chairs, Outreach Chairs, Salt Lake Chapter Chairs, and the National Families Supporting Adoption Board. He and his wife are very much loved in the infertility, adoption, and special needs parenting community. Brian served in various church callings and his favorite was Music Director for Sacrament meeting. He loved talking politics, ham radio, finding deals, and a good soda.
When children finally came to their family through the blessing of adoption, Brian was a loving Daddy and developed a sweet relationship with their boys. He honored their children's birthfamilies. He has a mighty testimony of the Savior and the atonement. He believes that the temple is a sacred edifice where loved ones are linked for generations. We will miss Brian's warm personality, infectious laugh, sarcasm, and big joyful presence. He is known for his gentle kindness and quiet service. He is a kind, faithful, husband, Daddy, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Until we meet again our dear Brian.
Survived by his wife Christine and their three sons James (11), Christian (7), Jonathan (6). His parents Paul and Kay Anderson, sister Susan (Michael Fredde), David (Tammy), Wendy, aunts Linda Nielsen (Len), Jill Aoki, in-laws Lowell and Karin Bryner, Sylvia (Scott) Gines, Thomas (Tammy) Bryner, Barbara (David) Gill, Michael (Stephanie) Bryner, and nephews and nieces.
