Margaret Louise Arnott

1915 ~ 2014

Born Nov. 25, 1915, to Jasper Otis and Margaret Mae Withers in Eagle, Idaho. Moved to Salt Lake City in her early twenties. Married Will Jay Arnott April 29, 1939, at First Presbyterian Church. They had two daughters, JoDelle A. Frenchik (David) and Katie A. Morgan (Philip C.), and one son, Will Jack Arnott. She had 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren. Moved to Sun City, Arizona, in 1981 and back to Salt Lake in 1998, where they continued to worship at First Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Will Jay Arnott; her sister, Virginia Riggs; and her brother, Lewis Withers.

She worked for the Department of Reclamation for many years. She was secretary for the First Presbyterian Church for 5 years. She loved the pursuit of knowledge and sold The World Book Encyclopedia for several years. She loved to play bridge; she took up golf at retirement. She taught many grandchildren to swim, her daughters to love sewing and to be creative. She was very loving and was much loved. She is dearly missed.

Viewing at 12 noon and service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, at First Presbyterian Church, South Temple and C Streets, followed by burial at Salt Lake City Cemetery with her husband. Online condolences can be made at www.larkincares.com
