Shirl Granere, daughter of Anders and Sarah Johnson, passed away Monday Sept 4, 2017. Shirl always believed you play the hand you're dealt, and you play it as well as you can. At the end of the day, she knew she had been honest to herself, to others, and had no regrets.
The love of her life, Phil Junior Granere, preceded her by 25 years. She adored her children (Gary, Dave and Judy), her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were her world. Bridge, golf, and University of Utah sports came in a close second.
Shirl was a devoted member of the Holladay United Church of Christ, where she spent many hours serving and caring for others, as a Stephen Minister, and a member of the Caring Ministries committee.
She will be missed by so many, especially her sister Betty Cassell.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 16 at 2pm at the Holladay United Church of Christ, 2631 E Murray Holladay Rd, . Donations in her memory can be made to the American Red Cross.
