Jack Stuart Sprouse

1958 ~ 2017

Our loving father, son, brother and friend, Jack Stuart Sprouse, passed away Thursday, August 24th, 2017, surrounded by family. Born October 7th, 1958 in Salt Lake City, UT to Stuart Jack and Thurma Lee Sprouse. He grew up in Sandy, UT and graduated from Jordan High School Class of 1977 and University of Utah in Sports Medicine. His greatest love and accomplishment in life was his boys, but he also had a great love of racing, boating, and fixing everything. Other accomplishmentsinclude being the trainer for the US Downhill Ski Team during the 1988 Olympics in Calgary and trainer for the Harlem Globe Trotters. Jack always supported his sons in everything they did whether it be Conner and his motocross and hockey or Jordan with his 85 VW Vanagon. He loved the outdoors. You couldn't get him to sit down. When he wasn't working on a project you would catch him snowmobiling, riding ATVs, going golfing or boating pulling people on the tube. When he was younger he had a 53' GMC which he was so proud of. In his later years, he gained a love for chariot racing and worked with his dad Stuart and his brother Steve. They won 5th place in the 2003 5th division of the world Cutter and Chariot racing championships. Jack was the kind of guy that loved to teach people things whether he only knew you one day or a lifetime. He always had something to show you. He will be greatly missed.

Survived by sons Jordan and Conner, mother Lee, sister Terry (Russell), brother Steven (Buffy), nieces Brandee (Jeremy), Sierra, Destinee, nephew Colton, great niece Maddisyn and so many friends who were also family. He was preceded in death by father Stuart Jack Sprouse, grandparents Stanley and Barbara Sprouse and Lucille Astle.
