Maria Guadalupe Haro-Gonzalez

1919 ~ 2014

Maria Guadalupe "Lupe" Haro, 95, returned to our loving Heavenly Father on Monday, October 6, 2014 at her home in Layton, Utah, with her family by her side.

She was born on August 1, 1919 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Bernardino and Maria Felix Gonzalez. She married the love of her life Martin Haro on April 13, 1936 and together they had 12 beautiful children, 68 grandchildren, 121 great grandchildren, and 23 great-great grandchildren.

Lupe was an extraordinary leader and sacrificed so much to provide a better future for her children that she loved so much. She and her family left everything behind in Mexico to immigrate to a new country and arrived in Utah in 1974.

She worked hard as a homemaker and outside the home where her last employer prior to her retirement was Clearfield Job Corps Center.

She was a woman of great faith and lived her life by example as a child of God. She loved serving others and always placed others' needs before her own. She was loved by everyone that had the privilege to meet her as she enriched and blessed their lives. She is survived by her daughters; Sylvia Haro, Estella Delatorre (Humberto), Francisca Arellano (Feliciano), Leonor Arteaga (Alfredo), Emilia Haro (Octaviano), and Maria Auxilio Treto (Jesus) and her sons; Juan Antonio, Esteban (Araceli), Everardo (Beatriz), Raudel (Socorro), and Alberto Haro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Haro, and her daughter, Eloisa Arteaga.
