Jerry passed away May 18th, 2016 after enduring the challenges of Parkinson's Disease. Jerry was born in Bennion, UT, on Flag Day June 14th, 1930, to Mike and Jeannette Soter.
Jerry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After returning home,he taught electronics for several years, and for a short time was employed at Hill AFB. He worked in the electronics shop at the University of Utah, where he retired after 34 years of service.
Jerry married Ethel Engel in 1960, later divorced. He then married Charlotte Truman, in 1981. Jerry was one of a kind, would do anything for anyone, had a great sense of humor, and was loved by all who knew him.

Survived by his wife Charlotte and his daughter Jeannette Staker (Robert) as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-children. Also survived by his brother Jim (Connie), and sister Marlene Tully.
Memorial services will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT on Tuesday, May 31st, at11:00 AM.
