Susan Kay Madsen, 43, of Draper, UT died May 8, 2014 in a car accident. She is survived by her husband Jon Richard Madsen; two sons, Easton McCelland Madsen and Dax Richard Madsen; three daughters, Mia Elizabeth Madsen, Tessa Hope Madsen and Emery Brees Madsen. She is also survived by her parents Brian Joe and Lonnie Kay Brees, her sister Michele Lynn Brees, her In Laws, Richard and Maggie Madsen of Seattle, WA and her six Brother and Sister-in-Laws and twenty-one nieces and nephews. Susan was born in Bethesda, MD on July 27, 1970. She was sealed to Jon Madsen on August 19, 1994 in the Seattle Washington LDS Temple.
Susan was a graduate of BYU with a degree in History Teaching. Susan was active in the Corner Canyon 6thWard, her children's schools and PTAs, the Utah Youth Soccer Association, and the Sparta Soccer Club. She was a dedicated mother and wife, who always put others first and loved serving unconditionally. Someone who was always willing to lend a helping hand and perhaps, more importantly, share a laugh. Her services will be held at the Corner Canyon Stake Center, 13366 South 1300 East, at11AMMonday May 19, 2014. The viewing is scheduled for6-8 PM on Sunday May 18, 2014at Larkin Sunset Gardens at 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) Sandy, UT. There will also be a viewing directly prior to her service at9:45 AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Utah Youth Soccer Association or to MADD.
