Marian Wright Paskett, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away May 28, 2016 at the age of 91. Marian was born June 30, 1924 in Payson, Utah to Charles and Winnie Wright. The family later moved to Magna, Utah where she graduated from Cyprus High School. At the age of 21 she joined the US Navy and proudly served her country during WW II. She married her eternal companion, Merton Paskett on Nov. 25, 1946. Together they raised four sons and four daughters. Marian was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints where she faithfully served in many church callings. She especially loved all her primary children.
She is survived by her children, Frank (Cindy), Arlajean Paskett, Shirley Hewitt, Eldon (Mary), Janet Reid, DeeAnn Gallagher (Floyd), Calvin (Jill), Douglas; 27 Grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Dee Fullmer and Leta Bateman.
Marian is preceded in death by her parents, husband Merton, sisters Lova Marshall and Afton Kroon, brothers Denzel Wright and C L Wright Jr.
Per her request there will be no funeral service. A viewing will be held onThursday, June 9, 2016at the Highland Park LDS Ward chapel, 2535 Douglas Street, SLC from6 - 8 pm. A graveside service will be held onFriday, June 10, 2016 at 1:00pm at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City.
Marian will be remembered by all who knew her for her feisty and tenacious personality.
