Carolyn Curtis Strong

1940 ~ 2014

A beautiful daughter of God, Carolyn Curtis Strong, went peacefully home to her loving, merciful Heavenly Father on Oct. 28, 2014. Carolyn was born in Murray, Utah, Dec. 19, 1940, to Darwin Ross Curtis and Gladys Snape Curtis. On Dec. 4, 1959, she married Clark Leon Strong in the Salt Lake Temple.

Although she faced many challenges in her earthly life, she handled them with prayer and grace. She was, indeed, an example of enduring to the end. Carolyn loved the Lord and her family. She was prolific at writing poetry and notes of gratitude and encouragement to all those around her. She blessed many lives through her small yet significant service.

Carolyn is survived by her eternal companion of 55 years, Clark Leon Strong; 6 children: Jeanette (Michael) Little, Steve (Joy) Strong; Cindy (Jeff) Roundy, Carrie (Keith) Call, Curt (Leona) Strong, and Ken (Liz) Strong; 25 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and brothers: Kent (Linda), Larry (Becky) and Dave (Laurie) Curtis. She was preceded in death by her parents and her baby brother Craig Curtis.

The family would like to thank IHC Hospice for the loving service they gave to Carolyn the last months of her life.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014, at the LDS Church, 1355 East 7200 South at 12:00 noon. A viewing will be held starting at 10:00 am prior to the services at the church. Interment will be held at Alpine City Cemetery.
