Emma Lucille Turner passed away on August 16, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Emma was born on May 31,1921 in Riverton, Utah, to Austin and Edith Silcox. She grew up on a farm with 8 other siblings, Mary, Franchise, Nola, Grace, Cass, Bob, Claire, and Url and was one of the first families to settle in Riverton. Her grandparents, Thomas Silcox and Annie Ostler, lived in Nauvoo and were the first to make clothing for the general authority's wives.

While attending Jordan High School (GO BEETDIGGERS) Emma had a part-time Cleaning job to make money; this is where Emma gained the respect for a clean home and kept a very immaculate house!!

She has two children, Harold Dee Wardle and Paul Eugene Wardle; 10 grandchildren, Peggy Middlesworth, Teri Turner, Dawn Wardle, Jimmy (Lori) Wardle, Jamie Wardle, Sabreana Wardle, Paul (Jennifer) Wardle, Georgette (Rob) McQueen, Justin (Nicole) Wardle, Jerry Wardle; 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Emma married Marion Tuner in 1950 and moved to Rose Park and has lived there for over 60 years.

Emma loved to bake, we all loved her Banana Nut Bread and her "Famous Fruitcake" at Christmastime. She loved to crochet and put puzzles together; she enjoyed her weekly visits to the Senior Center and loved spending time with family and friends. She attended the Rose Park 1st Ward for many years where she had many callings and made lifelong friendships.

We could always count on Grandma to send us a card for every birthday—she never missed a year!!

Emma was a hard worker and took pride in everything that she worked on; she loved her kids, grandkids, friends, and neighbors. We love you and we will miss you dearly!!!!

She is preceded in death by husband Marion Turner, parents Austin and Edith Silcox, and siblings Nola, Grace, Cass, Bob, Claire, and Url.
