Mary J. Sheehan (Saylor) passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2018in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born in 1925 and married in 1942, she was raised in western New York and spent most of her adult life on North Road in Alden. Though she moved away, she never really left. Those who knew her best, knew that Alden was always "home".
Like so many of her generation, she possessed a quiet strength that inspired everyone around her.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Without fail, she always put her loved ones first. She has left a legacy of resilience, wisdom, and above all…love. That legacy continues to emanate from dear friends and family.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, John (Jack) Sheehan, and is survived by her son Michael (Suzanne), and grandsons Daniel and Matthew Sheehan.
Mary will be missed by those who knew and loved her, but they are comforted by the knowledge that the night sky has a new star…
Her family would like to thank the staff of Wentworth at Draper assisted living facility and TenderCare Hospice for their many kindnesses.
Private family services will be held.
