Parker Shea Lindsay

1984 ~ 2023

In Loving Memory of Parker Shea Lindsay

On November 20, 2023, the world lost a beacon of kindness, strength, and unwavering love. Parker Shea Lindsay, born on November 15, 1984, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were privileged to know him.

Parker is survived by his cherished wife, Whitney Lindsay, and their three incredible children, Tatum, Englynd, and Beckett. Parker is also survived by his mother, Lisa B. Lindsay Sanders (Art), his father, Richard Mark Lindsay (Tom), and his three siblings, Josh (Danielle) Lindsey, Crawford (Megan) Lindsay, and Madison (Tyler) Kent, along with 7 nieces and 5 nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, John and Jill Lindsay, and Reed and Barbara Brown.

From a young age, Parker exhibited a deep compassion for others, sharing his big heart with everyone he met. Growing up, Parker’s childhood was filled with warmth and laughter, where his playful spirit and genuine kindness blossomed. His family, including his grandparents, played
a significant role in shaping the values that defined him throughout his life.

Parker's childhood friendships were the foundation of a lifetime of connections. His school days were marked by his natural ability to bring people together, his contagious laughter echoing through the hallways. Along with playing football, Parker had a passion for music. Physically he
was a tank, but he had the voice of a true angel, and he thrived while singing in the Olympus High School Ensemble.

Football was not just a game for Parker; it was a source of leadership and determination that resonated throughout his life. The principles of being a strong teammate, never giving up, and protecting those who mattered stood firm with Parker. Parker graduated from Olympus High
School in 2003 and ventured on to Dixie College before he left to serve in the Leeds, England Mission from 2004 – 2006. His natural drive to serve others in his life and his faith was inspiring, making him the first to step in and stand up for anyone, Parker always there when needed.

Parker's devotion to his family knew no bounds. He faced his battle with ALS head-on, fighting for nearly a year, ensuring he was there to create memories and fortify his family for the challenges ahead. As a brother and friend, Parker was unparalleled. His open-hearted invitation to anyone who knew him to share a meal, watch a game, or spend Thanksgiving reflected his generous spirit. His warm greetings, be it a witty joke, a simple hug, a hearty laugh, or a radiant smile, reflected the genuine and caring soul within him. Passionate and determined, Parker fought for the things he loved and loved what he fought for.

Parker embraced life with an unyielding spirit, achieving every goal he set for himself: finding his eternal companion, Whitney, and creating an extraordinary family; attaining personal success through his entrepreneurial ventures; making impactful contributions as an integral part of the Alpha Transport team, coaching his son and numerous athletes while representing the heart of the game, and accomplishing his lifelong dream of kneeling in the revered end zone of the Notre Dame football field. While these achievements tell a phenomenal story of his life, Parker's deepest pride stemmed from the lives he touched and the countless souls he had the privilege of serving and coaching.

Parker Shea Lindsay will be dearly missed, his impact on the world immeasurable. He leaves behind a legacy that encourages us all to do good, be good, and find the good in others. While his iconic beard was a symbol of his presence, the life he lived was nothing short of legendary.
May he rest in eternal “game day” peace, surrounded by the love he shared so abundantly.

Faith. Family. Football.

There is so much to be said for this incredible human. We shared so many beautiful memories together and his friendship was unparalleled.

Throughout our friendship regardless of the time that went on or the various moves between both his family and ours he always found and made time to stay in touch. I was so grateful for that.

When my faith was tested he helped me. Parker was a great leader, caring father, and an incredible friend. He was a happy, kind, jokester that could make anyone’s day brighter. He was loyal and provided unwavering support to his family, friends and all of those who knew him. He had a wittiness and humor that could light up a room of strangers and easily go from acquaintances to friends. It’s evident he had such a profound impact on those who knew him. I’m forever grateful for the time we were able to share. I’ll miss him so much. Sending my deepest condolences to his family.
