Patricia Anne Nebeker peacefully passed away February 22, 2023 surrounded by her daughters. Pat was the first of three children, born on September 19, 1942 to Norma Cox and Norman Renshaw Leese. Pat met Kent Arthur Nebeker at a young age and the two grew to love each other. They married for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles LDS Temple, on July 16, 1965.

Pat loved children and this led her to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University. She was a dedicated educator who humbly supported her students in encouraging their learning. She was a natural and gifted teacher. Her selfless devotion to education inspired and influenced generations.

She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully with all her heart in many callings, doing her best to exemplify the Savior. Pat was very talented and pursued many interests which always included her family. Some of her favorites were: reading, dancing, listening to classical and spiritual music, sewing, playing the piano and organ, cooking gourmet meals and gardening.

Pat’s family meant everything to her and she was happiest when surrounded by them. She was a selfless daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her children: Erika Lindley, Emily Timothy (Clint), Elissa Liddle (Johnathan), Melinda Ekins (Jamon), Marci Koenig (Jonathan), Jenni Britton (Jason), nineteen grandchildren, her brother Randall, nieces, nephews, extended family and many grandpets. She is preceded in death by her sweetheart Kent, son Evan, parents Norman and Norma and brother Steve.

Special thanks and recognition to the many staff members at the University of Utah Hospital particularly Dr. Weiss, Anna and Derek who provided excellent and compassionate care for Pat and her daughters. Special thanks to Pat’s neighborhood family who supported and loved her especially after the death of her husband.

Guestbook/Condolences

Melinda, We're so sorry for your mothers rather sudden illness and diagnosis, hopefully you take solace that her condition progressed quickly, as did your fathers. Exiting mortality quickly seemingly has its advantages. We regret not knowing your parents better, but we do remember them both with kindness and friendship. Please know our hearts go out to you and your family.

We love you, David and Deb

Dear Girls...Thinking about Pat and all the many years of association. She was always a powerhouse, even when she couldn't move as quickly anymore. She is remembered with great fondness and admiration.
May your hearts be at peace, even though her earthly presence is missed. Still mom! Love to you!

- Peter and Mary Ruplinger

Having moved away from the neighborhood we don't always hear when someone passes.
So sad to hear about your mom. She had a big role in our life as a school teacher, a musician, a neighbor and friend.
I'm sure she was happy to reunite with your dad. Such a wonderful couple with a great legacy of family, doing great things.
Sending our love.
