Patsy Curtis Jarvis

1941 ~ 2023

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Patsy Jarvis , 81, passed away peacefully in her sleep and returned to her Heavenly Father.

Patsy was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 25, 1941, the daughter of Merrill William Curtis and Leola Jex Freshwater. Patsy is survived by her children Tammy (Sam), Mellinda (Jake), Michael (Shauna), David, and Joye; her brothers Kay, DeLon, Sterling, her sisters Debra, Ellen, Lealeth; her 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Nolan, her sisters Verna and Rosemary and her grandsons Sean and Colton.

Patsy cherished and adored her 5 children, which she raised in Fountain Green, Utah. She later moved her family to Salt Lake City, Utah. Patsy graduated from Brigham Young University with a Masters degree of science and worked most of her career as a dietician and cook for women in a group home and later worked at the VA hospital serving veterans.

Patsy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she proudly served a mission in Canada and thereafter dedicated her life to being in the service of the Lord. Patsy served her Heavenly Father by frequenting the temple and bringing souls unto Christ. She always enjoyed and looked forward to singing in her ward choir group on Sundays, she was very talented and loved playing the guitar and organ. Patsy loved spending time outdoors whenever possible, especially in the mountains where she and her family would go camping every summer. She would look forward to her annual family reunions every year. Patsy will be greatly missed and forever loved by everyone who knew her.

Memorial services for Patsy Curtis Jarvis will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023. A family viewing will be held from 9:30-10:45, with a service held for friends and loved ones at 11:00 am at the LDS Cannon 1st Ward building (934 West Fremont Avenue, Salt Lake City, UT 84104). A graveside service will be held following the funeral at Larkin Cemetery Sunset Garden (1950 E. 10600 S. Sandy UT, 84092).
