2004 ~ 2017

Jaxon Devin Lewis, 12, of Sandy, UT, passed away February 20, 2017, as a result of injuries sustained in a tragic snowmobile accident. He was born on June 19, 2004 in Salt Lake City, the son of Devin and Caylee (Johnson) Lewis. He attended Albion Middle School where he enjoyed his studies and excelled as an honor student. Jaxon was a member of the Boy Scouts and was on the path to completing his Eagle Scout. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of the gospel.

Jaxon possessed strength, perseverance and an ability to work like no one else. He truly believed that work was a blessing. He believed that each day was an opportunity to create lasting memories. He was kind, intelligent, athletic, handsome and had a catching sense of humor. He had a gift where he could engage and forge a relationship with anyone. Jaxon's greatest joy was spending time with family and friends doing the activities he enjoyed.

He loved the outdoors and being out in nature. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking and mountain biking. His favorite place to go was the family ranch in Woodland, UT. He spent many winters there snowmobiling with his family and many summers riding the Ranger, working on projects and building forts.

Jaxon would want to remind us that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him everyday, he will forever remain in our hearts. Each one of us was able to create lasting memories with him that we will cherish forever. As his mother and father, it was our greatest privilege to be his parents.
