Gordon G. Worsencroft

1959 ~ 2015

Gordon Worsencroft passed away January 21 2015, at his home in Sandy Utah. Gordon was born in Salt Lake City on Thursday May 21 1959, the fourth child of Carmen Hutchings and John Conrad Worsencroft. He attended Murray High and shortly after enlisted in the US Navy where he earned his Naval Enlisted Aircrew wings, hunted Soviet submarines from a helicopter, served as a rescue swimmer, and even tried out for SEAL training--‘ringing out' yet feeling great about trying. Gordon spent time working as a cabinet maker and a computer systems integrator for the lumber industry.

Gordon married Valerie Lucero and they had a beautiful son, Gordon Orlando. They were later divorced. Gordon met and married the love of his life Carol Borg. Two beautiful boys were born to them, Kiefer Dane and Nicolas Dru. They made their home in Salt Lake and later South Carolina. Carol passed away in 2003. Gordon and his sons returned to Utah.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife Carol, his parents, his stepfather, a niece, a nephew, and two sisters-in-law, Gordon is survived by his sons Gordon (Carrie) SLC UT, Kiefer (Megan) Logan UT, Nick Logan, UT, his grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sister Kim, (Dennis) Los Gatos CA, brothers Chris, Vernal UT and Cory, Sandy UT. Also his aunts and uncles, Keith and Marie Averett, SLC UT, and Fred and Joyce Ball, SLC, UT. All the aforementioned people he has always loved and admired, especially his three sons. We\ll hold your memory within our hearts, \til we are all together again.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 31 2015 at 3:00 pmat the LDS church at 2530 East Creek Rd. Sandy, UT.
