Kenneth R. Omasta

1951 ~ 2014

Kenneth R. Omasta, 63, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on November 30, 2014, in his home in Bountiful, Utah. Born November 04, 1951, in White Township, PA. Ken grew up in South Bend, Pennsylvania with his younger siblings Greg, Susan, and Georgie. Soon after graduation in 1969, Ken chose to join the US army, where he served two voluntary tours in Vietnam. In the military, Ken received training where he became a computer specialist/system programmer. After his military career ended in 1977, he served a key role in the start up of the company Telos Field Engineering, which dealt in government contracts for computer hardware maintenance services. Ken held an executive position with TFE as the eastern regional VP. Ken was with Telos for over 20 years. He was a fiercely intelligent man who had great understanding of technology and business. He was also very proud of his service to his country. He was a great story teller and always had something interesting to say and experiences to share. Ken made friends wherever he went and was one of those people who made a lasting impression.

Ken was preceded in death by his first grandson, Ethan. He is survived by his mother Amber, father Lawrence, brother Greg, sisters Susan and Georgie, daughter Jennifer, son-in-law Christopher, son Michael, daughters Lauren and Amber, and grandson Christian.

He was a wonderful father and grandfather. Words cannot express how greatly he will be missed by his friends and family. Ken is with our Heavenly Father where he can now hold his darling grandbaby, Ethan.

Service will be held for close friends and relatives on December 20th at 10:00 am at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple. Ken will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Salt Lake City, Utah.
