Blaine Arthur Schmidt, born April 4, 1945 passed away June 7, 2017.
In a recent movie, there was a line that stated that there comes a time where life stops giving and it starts taking. These words have special meaning in our lives today as we prepare to say our farewells to a special someone who fought a brave battle and in the end passed with a grace and dignity that he showed throughout his life.
Blaine married his eternal companion, Cherie LaComb in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1968, and they were married for 49 years. They have four children and five grandchildren. Scott (Leigh) Schmidt and their daughter Zoe; Mark (Emily) Schmidt and their daughter Samantha and sons Logan and Landon; Todd (Stephanie) Schmidt and their son Dallin; Julie (Nick) Oman along with their special companion Mosey.
Services will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11 am at the Oquirrh Lake Ward, 4842 Vermillion Drive, South Jordan. Visitations will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 6-8 pm and Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services with both at the church.
