Scott Louis Burch, 59, of Boise, ID, died peacefully on December 21, 2019 in Salt Lake City, UT after a courageous battle with cancer.
Scott was born in Salt Lake City, UT to Sterling Louis and Joy Mae Burch on March 25, 1960. He spent much of his childhood in England, and Tahiti, where a love for water and adventure began. He proudly graduated from Boise State University in Business. He was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he faithfully served a mission in San Francisco. For 35 years he worked for United Parcel Service where he made a strong positive impression of dedication and dependability. He was truly a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He spent much of his time in construction, where he skillfully flipped or built houses from the ground up with minimal outside help. He cherished spending time with his family in the mountains, where he spent countless hours backpacking, hiking, and rafting. He will be truly missed by all.
Preceded in death by his father, Sterling Louis Burch.
Scott is survived by one son and one daughter: Michael (Shaylee) Flores and Kailey (Anthony) Young; one brother and two sisters: Steven Andrew Burch, Connie Burch Tregeagle and Janet Burch Giles; mother, Joy Burch; and one granddaughter, Emmelyn Young.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Hillside Ward Chapel, 2600 West Hill Rd, Boise, ID 83702. Interment will follow at 2:00 pm in Morris Hill Cemetery, 317 N. Latah St, Boise, ID 83706.
