Linda was born in Price, UT and grew up in Sandy. She later moved to Conroe, TX where she lived for 7 years. Most recently, Linda lived in Southwest Louisiana where she resided for 12 years. No matter where Linda lived, she made many special friendships.
Linda\s greatest gift was her compassionate and loving spirit. She was the care taker in the family who opened her door to many friends and family in need. She was happiest when caring for others.
Linda married Russell \"Scot\" Smith with whom she shared 34 years and many happy memories. She has two beautiful children; Kristopher and Nikki, and one precious granddaughter, Taylor. Linda enjoyed countless long conversations with her son Kris. They truly were an inspiration to each other. Linda and her daughter Nikki shared a special bond. Their unconditional love for each other made it easy for them to be best friends. Her grand-daughter Taylor was her pride and joy, her little ray of sunshine.
Linda loved doing crafts and had the ability to create something special out of just about anything. Linda was a listening ear for many people. Her unconditional love was felt by many and will always be remembered. All those who knew her found it easy to love her. Linda will be greatly missed and her fun loving spirit will be cherished.
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother \"Ma\", big sister, aunt, and friend is survived by her loving husband Russell \"Scot\" Smith, son Kristopher Yengich, daughter Nichole \"Nikki\" Smith, granddaughter Kennedy \"Taylor\" Smith, siblings Ron Taylor (Janneen), Patty Householder (Boyd), Karen Hunt (Rendall) and Kathy Baldwin (Mark). Preceded in Death by her mother Emma Jean Taylor, father Roland Gene Taylor and sister Susan "Susie"Taylor Oxford.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Drive (10600 South) Sandy, UT. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30am prior to the services. Online condolences welcomed at www.larkincares.com.
