Paul Davis Peery, age 86, died from cancer on March 28, 2017 in Sacramento, CA. Born May 25, 1930 in Salt Lake City, UT, son of Liliu Davis and Joseph Stras Peery, he graduated from East High School and the University of Utah, where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He served from 1950-52 in the LDS Central States Mission, based in Independence, Missouri. Immediately following his mission, he was drafted into the Korean War (1953-56). He graduated from Officer's Candidate School at the US Army Infantry Center in Fort Benning, GA. He then served in Fort Knox, Kentucky as a 1st Lieutenant. He married Virginia Stoddard in the Salt Lake Temple (later divorced). He received a MS from Colombia University. He was a Senior Associate at Lehman Brothers in New York City where he loved to wear Brooks Brother's suits. He loved family history work and took an active role in the Peery cousins network. He is pre-deceased by his parents and 8 siblings: Joseph, Luacine, Julina, Betty, Margaret, David, Nancy and Jeanne. He is survived by his three children: Paul, James and Jennifer (Gordon Jensen) and 7 grandchildren. Grave dedication will be under the direction of Larkin Funeral Home.
