Edward Calvin Taylor

1923 ~ 2017

Edward Calvin Taylor, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday March 27th. He was born August 21, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Victor Hugo and Beryl Georgina Hocking Taylor.

He was proud of his service in the Marine Corps during World War II. Edward grew up on a farm in the Olympus Cove area where he gained a love of gardening. Other passions in life included camping, fishing and country music. He worked as a truck driver for Rio Grand Motorway where he later continued his career and became a diesel mechanic. He loved spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. He was also known by many for his love of cookies of all kinds.

Edward is survived by his daughters Janet (Jeff) Woolley, Gayle Taylor, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, June Staley, his parents and siblings Ruth, Richard and Gene.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday April 1, 2017 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, located 1950 East Dimple Dell Road in Sandy, beginning at 2 pm. A viewing will be held prior at the same location beginning at 12 noon. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
