Ashley Nichole Vigil

1992 ~ 2019

Ashley Nichole Vigil was born in Salt Lake City on August 14th, 1992 to Haley Santos-Takoch and Jerry Patrick Vigil. Ashley graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City in 2011 and obtained her associates degree in Medical Billing and Coding from the Ultimate Medical Academy in 2018. While obtaining her education, Ashley worked at Harmon's Grocery where she made many friends. In July of 2018, she joined the Heart and Lung Institute of Utah and was eager to apply her education and start her career.

Ashley was extremely energetic and bubbly; she brightened every room she walked into. Her empathic and compassionate nature was apparent to all who knew her. Ashley was always in service of those she loved and cared for. Her motherly and nurturing spirit drove her to inspire, and be a role model to her younger siblings, nieces, and nephews. She loved being the glue in all her social spheres.

When presented with obstacles in life, Ashley always persevered. She was always enthusiastic to try new things and her courage always carried her through. She loved camping, rafting, and most of all, shopping. She was passionate about updating, posting and communicating with friends and family via social media. Her love for pictures, selfies and funny snapchats was boundless. She often posted pictures of every aspect of her life and in doing so, we all have endless amounts of memories to cherish.

Ashley was carried to heaven in the loving arms of our savior, Jesus Christ, her grandfather, Joe Santos, and her grandmother, Mary E. Vigil. She is survived by her loving parents Jerry (Rosandra) Vigil and Haley (Adam) Takoch, and her adoring younger siblings.

Our family has set up the Ashley Nichole Vigil Memorial Fund to help with funeral and legal expenses. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated. Contribute by going to any Mountain America Credit Union branch, by telephone at 1-800-748-4302, or through Venmo @AshleyNVigil-Memorial-Fund.
