Sean Snyder

1984 ~ 2017

Heaven has gained a beautiful spirit and we have lost an amazing son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Sean fought many health battles after being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 10. He fought the hard fight, but peacefully succumbed to his final battle at home in the early morning hours of November 22, 2017.

Sean was born December 17, 1984, on a snowy night in Salt Lake City almost 33 years ago, to Scott and Ivy Snyder. He lived in Utah his whole life (Sandy and Riverton).

He enjoyed camping and fishing in the Uintah Mountains. He also enjoyed anything related to motorcycles, cars, trucks, four-wheeling, and dirt-biking. Sean attended Riverton High School and Valley High School, where he forged many lifelong friendships. He always had a sincere charm about him that everybody was drawn to. He made everybody feel like they were his best friend.

In addition to his charm, Sean will be remembered for his mechanical and artistic abilities. He designed custom-built motorcycle frames, found motors and parts, and built the mechanical part of numerous motorcycles. Then he went to work on the artistic part, using powder coating, chrome, and his airbrush talents to create the most beautiful bobbers imaginable. He developed many friendships in the biking community across the country. His proudest moment was when a bike enthusiast from Australia bought one of his bikes and suggested Sean move to Australia and go into business with him.

Sean was met at heaven's gate by his grandparents (Dale and Darlene Christensen, Gail Snyder), aunt and uncles (Sherry Halverson, Randy Snyder, Clay Christensen), and his dogs (Sandy, Crystal, Twiggy, Nikki).

He will be fondly remembered and missed by his parents (Scott and Ivy Snyder), sister and brother-in-law (Kelley and Orlando Warner), grandmother (Margaret Snyder), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Sean\s life will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 at 6:15 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary of Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South, Riverton, Utah. A viewing will be from 4-6 p.m. before the service. A light dinner will follow immediately after the service at the mortuary. A graveside service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers please send your support to American Diabetes Association or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to help destroy this brutal and merciless affliction.

Godspeed, Sean, and be free of your earthly and mortal bonds.
