Jeannine Winkler

1939 ~ 2019

Our Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Myrna "Jeannine" Nokes Winkler, returned to the loving arms of her husband on December 27, 2019. She was born February 3, 1939, in Murray, Utah to Horace Sylvester Nokes and Vernis Aileen Shepherd Nokes and was the youngest of 10 children. She married her sweetheart, Robert William Winkler on April 19, 1957. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on January 3, 1967. They made their home in Sandy, Utah where they together owned and operated Artistic Iron for 12 years.

She loved camping with her family, cake decorating, sewing and crocheting. She crocheted many items for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. When she wasn't crocheting items for her family, she crocheted hats for those in need.

She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and was currently in the Sego Lily Ward where she served in many positions over the years and was most fond of being the ward librarian.

She is survived by her children: Karla (Chad) Munns of Garland, UT, Bob Winkler of Sandy, UT, Lori (Joseph) Jenkins of Bealeton, VA, Russell (Kris) Winkler of Kearns, UT, Peggy (Stephen) Dansie of Tremonton, UT; 21 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Wayne (Merla) Nokes, brother-in-law Dale Crump, brother-in-law Ronald (Patricia) Winkler, and sister-in-law Colleen Winkler.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Winkler, her parents, Horace and Vernis Nokes and 8 of her brothers and sisters: Cordon, Reed, Doyle, Ken, Lucille Berrett, Helen Bell, Ruth Crump, and Lavon Burgess.

We love you and we'll miss you, Mom!

Services will be held Tuesday, January 7th, at 2:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.) Sandy, Utah. A viewing for all family and friends will precede the services from 12:00 ‚ 1:30 pm. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
