Ralph Charles Warner, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 18, 2023 after several years of health challenges. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and loyal friend. He was born on May 1, 1954 to his late parents, Spencer Ray and Nelda Mae Warner.

At the age of 7, Ralph began working with his father at Union Service, the family’s auto repair shop. Throughout his high school years he studied and worked hard, resulting in becoming the Math Sterling Scholar. He graduated from Hillcrest High in 1972, and continued his education at the University of Utah. During this time he also worked as a mechanic at Kennecott Copper mine.

On July 10th, 1984, Ralph married his sweetheart Regana Nelson in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple for time and all eternity. Shortly after their wedding, Ralph took ownership of Union Service where he dedicated his life to supporting his family, and honoring his dad’s legacy. He rarely missed a day of work, passing along that work ethic to his children. Ralph continued working until 2021, when his beloved station closed due to his declining health and circumstances out of his control.

Ralph was a member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served in several different positions including; Primary Teacher with his wife, Cub Scout leader, as well as in the Elder’s Quorum Presidency. He enjoyed getting to know fellow members and youth through his service.

A few of Ralph’s hobbies include; hunting, four wheeling, camping, woodworking, and furthering his education.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Regana and his children Brittany and Aaron Melzer, Brandon and Courtney Warner, RuthAnne and Dallin Strong, Cody and Zach Gregory-Warner, and Bethany Warner; as well as his 9 grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Ray (Cindy), Ellen (Mike), Garth, Noreen (Dave), Irene, Glade (Renee), Joyce, and Merril (Angela).

He was loved by all his posterity and they will greatly miss his wonderful sense of humor.

A viewing will be held Monday November 27, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 south). Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 11 A.M. at Larkin Sunset Gardens with a viewing one hour prior to the service.

Condolences to the Warner family. Ralph and his family have been reliable and kind friends, dating back to college days when Ralph sometimes allowed us younger boys to tag along on his adventures. Ralph had a beautiful new Chevrolet Monte Carlo with an eight track tape player. It didn't get any better than that in the late 1970s. Good memories. Enjoy the new horizons, Ralph.
