Ray Brant McCuen III, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on October 13, 2023.

Born September 14, 1935 in Yuma Arizona to Nora Elizabeth Phillips and Ray Brant McCuen II, Ray would begin a journey to become a man that everyone liked, loved and respected. Ray's actions spoke louder than mere words could define. Words Ray spoke that will always stay in our minds; "Remember Who You Are". He was raised on his grandparent's farm Junius F and Artie E Phillips; he loved them very much.

Ray was the sports editor for Beaumont High Newspaper. Also lettering in football, track and field. Following high school, he served in the public information office on the Admirals staff, Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATIC), in Memphis, TN.

Ray's proudest moments were becoming the father of eleven wonderful children, Ray lV, Joseph, Troy Marie, Wendy, Misty, David, Randi, Christina, Johanna, Rebecca and Stephen - and being sealed to them in the temple so that we have the chance to be together forever. Such a blessing!

Ray had the privilege to watch five of his children serve missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Ray was blessed to see the majority of his children following the path they were taught in childhood, that will lead them to Christ. However, all of his children love The Lord and are good people.

Ray's proudest achievements were working 26 years for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a writer and editor in the finance and records department. He also spent time editing books for prominent church members.

His proudest civic accomplishments were serving as a Stake Clerk in the Salt Lake Wells Stake for four years, serving in the Temple View Branch Presidency for nine years, as the first counselor in the McKay Ward Bishopric as well as the position of assistant ward clerk.

Ray is survived by his wife, Eva McCuen and her daughter Rebecca McCuen and grandchildren. Angela (McCuen) Cullins, her children Ray McCuen, Joseph McCuen, Troy Marie McCuen & Lori Chavez, Misty McFarland, Randi & Japo Norwood and many more grandchildren. Brandy Lynn (McCuen) Johnson, her children Wendy Ahlman, David McCuen, Christina Ellsworth, Johanna McCuen, Stephen & Sian McCuen and again, many grandchildren.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Bob & Phyllis, sister Janie, daughter in law Julia, son in law Shaun and granddaughter Virginia.

We Love you Dad, Ray, Grandpa..
