Debora Lee Ball Alexander

1950 ~ 2014

Debora Lee Ball Alexander lost her courageous battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis on Sunday, August 17, 2014. She was born on July 30, 1950 to Clarence A. Ball Jr. and Leilan T. Ball. She lived most of her life in Kearns/Granger and graduated from Kearns High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Alexander, on Jan. 10, 1969. They spent the first 18 months of their marriage in Okinawa. They had two children together before going their separate ways in 1978.

She was an active member of the LDS church. When she received the calling to be a Primary Teacher she was very excited and happy because of the great love that she has for all children.

Debora enjoyed many things in life such as reading and listening to her music. One of the things that she loved most was watching movies. She always really looked forward to family movie nights and taking her grandsons out to lunch and the movies every January 1st.

She is survived by her parents, children, Tracie (Ian) Frame, Brian (Charissa) Alexander; two grandsons, Justin Frame and Brayden Alexander; two brothers, Mike (Becky) Ball, Danny (Carmen) Ball; one sister, Kaylene (Blake) Christensen, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents and brother David C. Ball.

The family wishes to thank all of the doctors and hospitals that have helped care for her over the last couple of years. A special thanks to Dr. Lanspa (Pulmonary) and Dr. Allred (Primary Care Physician).

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22nd at 11:00am at the Taylorsville 25th Ward, 4505 South 3420 West. Viewings will be held Thursday night August 21st from 6-8pm at Larkin Mortuary, 3688 West 12600 South, Riverton, UT and on Friday morning from 9:30am-10:30am at the Taylorsville 25th Ward, prior to services. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, UT.

She was a very compassionate and loving person and will be missed by all!
