Obituary

Rebecca “Becky” Lynn (Sitta) Donald peacefully passed on Sunday June 28, 2026 in South Jordan, Utah.She was born in September 1945 in Temple, Texas to Dr. Raymond and Doris (Cooper) Sitta. Becky spent her childhood years in Chillicothe, Texas and Farmington, New Mexico. She lived in Idaho, Texas, New Mexico and Utah.

Becky earned a bachelor’s degree from Western State (CO) and a master’s degree from Boise State (ID) and taught elementary school and physical education for many years. Becky was an avid sports fan having attended the 1984 Summer and 2002 Winter Olympics, Super Bowl XII and the 1998 NCAA Final Four Tournament. She was an inaugural season ticket holder for the Utah Jazz and a long time Utah Utes season ticket holder for football, basketball and gymnastics. However, her passion was golfing, and she valued her time in leagues, tournaments and teaching others on the course.

Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Raymond (Gerry) Sitta and Doris (Shelly) Cobb; sister, Judy Kennedy; brother, Raymond Sitta Jr; niece, Kallie Sitta and nephew, Jordan Sitta.

Becky is survived by her daughter, Dannette (Allen) Crooms; grandson, Turner (Brooklyn) Crooms; granddaughter, Alynn Crooms; brother, Don Sitta (Jonah); nieces, Ashley Kennedy and Lynley Stinson; nephews, Jon Kennedy, Joseph Kennedy, Joseph Sitta and Eric Sitta.

Special thanks to friends Jackie Anderson and Patty Murphy and the staff at Pepperwood and Cascade hospice for their care and support.

Memorial Service and Interment will be held at Farmington Memorial Gardens in Farmington, NM on Friday, August 7 @ 1130 am. The family asks for donations in Becky’s name to be made in lieu of flowers to firstteeutah.org or donate.shrinerschildrens.org.
