Mom tried her best to wait until August… her annual prediction of the month she would leave us.
And oh, the stories she could tell! She loved conversations about life, politics, family history, Yosemite, world events, her grandchildren, and the love of her life, Dad. The list is endless as the world has changed so much since she was born 97 plus years ago.
Words to describe her would be beautiful, stylish, sassy, smart, fun, active, loyal, love, and long suffering. She loved the outdoors, was a talented gardener, and an excellent cook and baker. She was a lifelong learner, and lover of books, but most of all a devoted wife and mother to her forever family. Her example of doing hard things taught all of us that we can do hard things as well. She has been an example to all who knew her and never hesitated to listen and give great advice. She lived life on her terms and showed us how to be strong and live life to the fullest.
Lynette is survived by her children Sue Kreller (Jim), Janis Davis (Paul), Dianne Rodriguez (Tim), Mark Murray (Martha), John Murray (Amy), and daughter in law Sheri Harper. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Seymour J. Murray; her parents, Bernetta Ruth Brady Cox and Amasa Ira Cox; siblings Dawna Harris, Bonnie Gunnell, and Kent Cox; granddaughter Christina Nygren, and great granddaughter Abbigale Wentz.
A family graveside service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, 11:00 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens in Sandy, Utah.
The family would like to thank Lynette’s Canyon Home Care and Hospice team for their kind and loving care for the last several months of her life.
So many wonderful memories all because of you, Mom, and your love for us.
We are eternally grateful that you are our mother. We will miss you and love you very much.
