Rhonda Nielson passed away unexpectedly at the age of 69 due to complications of the heart. She was born in Placer County California to Ronald F. Payne and Doris “Dee” Mantyla (Marvin) and was the second oldest of five children. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was “MOM” to whomever walked through the front door – the kitchen was always open, and drinks were always available.
Rhonda worked as an accountant for most of her career, until deciding it was time take care of the home fulltime. She enjoyed having a garden where she could have fresh tomatoes and cucumbers.
Survived by her husband John Lee, children Michael (Krista), Shane (Anne), John (Amy), Shelley (Frank), Glenn (Stacie). Stepfather Marvin Mantyla, sister Donna (John), brothers Ronald “Butch” (Donna), William “Bill” (Kathy), Rodney “Peanut” (Nancy). She has numerous grandchildren she loved and adored.
Preceded in death by her mother Doris.

Celebration of life will be held at Larkin Mortuary March 10th @11am. 260 E South Temple SLC, UT. 84111. In lieu of flowers please donate to the heart foundation, primary children’s hospital, or St. Jude’s.
I am so sorry to here of Rhonda's passing, Butch contacted me the other day to tell me, We hadn't stayed in touch but I know she was a good person.. She will be missed.
