Rickey Rasmussen

1953 ~ 2022

Rickey J Rasmussen, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, departed this world on 16 June 2022 at
the age of 69 after a battle with cancer which, sadly, he was just not able to win. Rick was the owner of
Pool N’ Patio Supply in Salt Lake City where he also worked as the lead service technician for over 30
years. Over those years, he built a loyal following of customers, many of whom loved him dearly. He
enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved the outdoors, camping,
hunting, and fishing. He lived his life with honesty and integrity and was always someone you could
count on. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Howardand Joan Rasmussen and stepson Travis McMillan. He is survived by his wife Kris, daughter Kendra (Ben) Jensen, son Ryan (Melanie) Rasmussen, stepson Nick (Jody) McMillan, stepson Mike (Leslie) McMillan, stepdaughter Jen (Jeff) Barnes, stepdaughter Tiffany (Mike) Lloyd, and 5 grandchildren and 13 step grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at Larkin Sunset Mortuary in Sandy, Utah from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday 21 June 2022 and 10am to 11am on Wednesday 22 June 2022 with a graveside service to follow

I was once married to Rick and although we've been divorced for many years, he was a kind and loving father to our daughter, Kendra, and always treated me with respect. We were able to raise our daughter through a cooperative effort and she grew up to be a beautiful, intelligent woman. Rick, you will be missed.

I am so sorry to learn of Rick's passing. I have known Rick for most of those 30 years at Pool 'n' Patio Supply. I have never known him to be anything but a gentleman, and a hard working servant and boss. I wish to extend condolences to Kendra and Ryan and the rest of the family whom I have not known. I shall always remember Rick as a kind and honest associate. Jon Dunn

Rick,

Every time we saw you across from our fence, you always made us feel welcome. It was fun shooting the breeze and talking about pools. That is something we both related too…..The best type of pool is a closed pool. Lol.

Hoping you’re enjoying all of your hunting and fishing you were never able to get to during the “busy season.”

Thank you for being a great neighbor to us when we moved in and throughout the years. Sending our love and condolences to your family. May you all find peace through this.
