Robert William Boettcher left this earth to join his family in heaven on 02/22/2021 in Ogden, UT. Robert was 53 years old. Robert was born on June 25, 1967 to Robert & Barbara Boettcher in Salt Lake City UT.

Robert went to Murray High & graduated in 1985. That same year he joined the US Army where he received an honorable discharge. He worked for 25 years as a forklift operator for a detergent company in Salt Lake City, where he was known as “Chewy” until his health wouldn’t allow him to work.

Rob met the love of his life, Rae Kirkwood of Woods Cross, UT in 1993. They married in May of 1994. Together, they had 3 children: Justin, William and Michael. To Robert family was everything, and he would do anything for his. Rob loved to go shooting with his boys, his brothers & his dad. He loved NASCAR and going to the Races with his brothers. He loved going camping with the whole family. Trips to Flaming Gorge would often happen several times a year.

He is survived by his wife, Rae, his 3 sons, Justin, William and Michael. His parents Bob & Barbara, his 3 brothers: David, Jonathan (Jayme) & Daniel and his 3 nieces, 6 nephews and 1 great-nephew. He is preceded in death by his grandparents William David Samuel & Alice Loynd Brown, Florence Lillian Schaffer Boettcher, Knoble Wayne “Friday” Boettcher, aunt Sally Wilson, uncle Charlie Wilson and cousin David Levendoski.

We want to thank the staff at Lakeside Dialysis Center for the care they gave to Chewy.

We're all very sorry to hear of Robby's passing. We know he had a rough go of it, probably more so than we really knew.

We are very sad about Rob. Wayne was able to deliver a lot of loads at Huish and Rob would always come out and see him. Rob was always kind and caring towards us. We are praying that the family will find peace and be comforted at this difficult time. Love to you all.
