Robert Brent Karren

1941 ~ 2023

It is with a heavy heart our family announces that our brother and uncle, Robert Brent Karren, unexpectedly passed away on November 26, 2023, at his retirement home in Salt Lake City. Brent spent his time on earth living his life the best that he could with his disabilities. Brent enjoyed being with his family and many church members. He was very devoted to his LDS religion, and all the callings he had within the church meant a lot to him.

Brent was born to Pauline and Boyd Karren in Salt Lake City on December 8, 1941. In his earlier years he enjoyed walking his dog Rex and shoveling snow at his home on Kensington Avenue. Brent never missed a Sunday service at his Mountain View 2nd Ward. He was very proud of his Duty to God award. His approach to life was always from the heart. He worked for 30 years at St. Mark’s Hospital and that was such a blessing for him. It gave him the stability he needed.

Brent is survived by his sister Kristine Higham. He is also survived by his nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline Karren; his father, Boyd Thomas Karren; and his brothers, Craig Thomas Karren and Corey Lane Karren.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.
