Obituary

Robert Gregory Kloer, affectionately known as Bobby, passed away peacefully at 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Born on May 7, 1968, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Bobby was the cherished son of Dianne Lynne Knowles and Gregory Charles Kloer.

Bobby’s life was a testament to his love for nature, particularly the mountains. He cherished the weekends spent camping with his family and friends, with Little Sahara, the Sand Dunes, and Sand Mountain being among his favorite spots. These adventures were cherished family traditions, and Bobby made sure to camp every holiday, even on non-holiday days.

Bobby’s passion for racing led him to become a four-wheeler champion in Utah and Idaho, holding the number one title for several years. His talent extended to Mickey Thompson’s and Supercrosses in California and across the United States. Bobby’s remarkable achievements in the racing industry earned him the title of a true legend, and many consider him an inspiration.

Bobby’s legacy will be remembered for the profound love he shared with his family. His memory will forever reside in the hearts of his loved ones.

Bobby is survived by his sister, Gwendolynne Keller Kloer; his nephew, Trever Keller (Sydnee); his niece, Ricci Pitts (Christian); and his great nephew, Beckett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gregory and Dianne Knowles Kloer; grandfather David W. Knowles, his grandparents, Kenneth and Carroll Phelps Nagel; his uncle Dave Kloer; and his uncle David Knowles.

During this difficult time, we express our deepest gratitude to Mark from IHC for providing exceptional care for my brother in his final hours. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Sky, one of Bobby’s remarkable doctors, for his compassion and understanding towards Bobby and his needs.

Additionally, we want to acknowledge Larkin Mortuary (Joshua Hunter) for his unwavering support, kindness, and understanding during this challenging period in our lives.

Tributes

So many great memories but I had so much fun camping and riding at the sand dunes. I remember Bobby ,Gwen and I riding in the rain at Red Sands and Bobby completely spraying Gwen and I with mud. We were covered and my coat was ruined but so much fun. Bobby also liked to cook and I have many fun memories cooking meals with him and eating popcorn watching movies. He was a good guy who had some demons but I loved him very much and he will be missed. You are no longer in pain my friend. RIP❤️

So sorry for your loss, Gwen. Commonwealth was the best playground because we had friends to play with all Summer long and Bobby was one of them. I will forever remember the Bobby I knew back in elementary school—he was a great kid. I’m sure your parents were there to welcome him back into their arms.
