Ronald E. Tyler loving Husband, Father, Engineer, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and World Traveler left this life on 22 January 2022. Ron was the second son to John Leslie Tyler and Edith Parkinson Jones 17 June 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ron loved basketball with his brother Jim at Granite high school. He was an avid church ball participant for years.

He married his high school sweetheart Geneil Emilie Hartwell on 17 August 1953.

Ron served 3 years in the Korean War. Ron attended the University of Utah on the GI bill and in 1959 graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. His professional life was dedicated to working for Kennecott Copper, owned, and operated Capitol Electric, and contracted for Cache Valley Electric. Ron’s pride and joy was his family. He with his wife Geneil had four daughters to which he was perfectly suited. He was incredibly proud of the wonderful legacy he created.

Ron had a passion to live life to the fullest. Ron loved cookies and Diet Coke; He knew where all the best pastry shops are (worldwide!). He was actively engaged in cycling and running with competed the St. George marathon in 1982. You could often find him planning his next trip abroad or heading to the golf course with his wife and friends. He dedicated his retirement time tutoring calculus at the local high school or grandchildren. Ron was devoted to his faith and served in multiple church callings in the Holladay, and Granite Wards.

Ron is survived by three siblings James Tyler, Joann Jackson, John Tyler. Daughters Cindy Watkins (Richard), Lezlee Ann Tyler Jensen, Stacy Tyler, Mindy Orgill (Kevin). 12 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren. Numerous friends and acquittances.

We would like to thank the staff in the memory care facility at Crescent Senior Living. The compassion, love and constant care is so appreciated.
The family asks that in lieu of flower to donate to the Alzheimer’s foundation.

My deepest condolences to all of the Tyler family. I have nothing but the fondest memories of uncle Ron and was so sad to here of his passing. He and Geneil always treated me well on my visits to Salt Lake City. Many happy memories of Christmas visits and how special Ron and Geneil made it.
