Professionally he worked at Eimco, Utah Power and Light/Pacific Corp, Questar, and Rio Tinto contributing to the construction of power plants, wind farms, and mining projects across many western states.

As a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, he served in many capacities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a young man he served as a Missionary in the Minnesota Manitoba Mission. He also served as Young Men’s President, High Councilman, Bishopric Counselor, High Priest Group Leader, Elder’s Quorum President and Stake Clerk. He and his wife Debbie served as missionaries at the GEO Federal Halfway House and at the time of his passing were serving at the West Valley My Hometown Mission.

Ron was always looking for ways to serve others regardless of worldly status. He was a friend to everyone and loved by all.

Ron was one of the kindest people I have met in the business world. I met him in 2015 at Kennecott and kept in contact with him through the years. Working with BD in business world can be tough--every one has their struggles in life. Ron was always and forever kind and would listen, direct, and help in any way he could. I am so thankful that I knew him. Ron is just the kind of person that makes you want to be your best self. A person's impact on another's life just doesn't get better than that!
