Uncle Ronnie,
So many good memories of you are flooding my mind the last few days. You were always so much fun to be with and always came to our rescue in one way or another. There is a time I remember when Mitchell and I were very little, playing in the back yard of the Salt Lake house. We were on the swing and accidentally broke a sprinkler head and we thought for sure that was going to be the end of us; we quietly went inside and asked Aunt Becky if we could watch the Jungle Book. I don't know if you ever knew that was us or not, but you never got onto us for it. Just recently, we had the best conversation, and I was so glad to hear your voice and know that you love all of us. We will forever miss you, Uncle Ronnie. Please give my mama a hug for us.
In Loving Memory

Obituary
Ronald Gene Tucker was born May 11, 1939, and died October 18, 2026. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a church service missionary in the Bishops Store House.
He served four years in the United States Navy aboard the last wooden minesweeper where he “nearly got blowed up”. After his Navy service, he built a career in property and casualty insurance as an adjuster and office manager.
His career also included catastrophe assignments. Following Hurricane Katrina’s 2005 impact on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, he assessed losses amid widespread destruction and loss of life. Earlier, Hurricane Andrew devastated South Florida in 1992, damaging or destroying more than 125,000 homes in Dade County and leaving at least 160,000 people homeless. He also worked after the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, often called the San Francisco earthquake, which killed 63 people, injured more than 3,700, and caused an estimated $6 billion in property damage. In 1994, the Northridge earthquake struck Southern California, killing dozens, injuring thousands, leaving about 20,000 people homeless,
and causing billions of dollars in damage. On each assignment, Ronald helped assess losses as families and communities began the work of recovery.
He is survived by his wife, Becky; his daughter, Jody; his son, Ron Jr.; his grandchildren, Jake Tucker, Jess Tucker, Mitchell Forbush, Madelyn Forbush Henley, and Juliette Forbush; and his great-grandchildren, Benson, Eliza, Olive, and Violet Forbush.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mable; his brothers, JB, Roy, and Jerry; and many beloved family pets.
Funeral services will take place Friday, October 23, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E Dimple Dell Rd, Sandy, UT 94092. There will be a viewing prior from 12:00 p.m.–1:45 p.m. Following services, Ronald will be laid to rest at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery with honors by the United States Navy.

Tributes
Ron & Becky and their family RJ and Jody have been almost lifelong friends for me since my early 20s. I am now 60 years old and cherish every memory. They kept me on the right track in my youth like one of their own sons. I feel like RJ is my brother we’ve spent a lot of time together. I worked a short time with senior in his adjusting business as an insurance agent. we’ve spent a lot of time together. I worked a short time with senior in his insurance business, he taught me many things. One memory I have of Ron is building a shed on the side of his house in Sandy. I was working the inside and he was using a nail gun on the outside to put up T1-11 siding. He missed the stud with his nail gun and it skimmed my leg on the thigh. It scared me, but it scared Ron so bad he was so apologetic. It was a little bit funny luckily, nothing serious happened and we eventually had a good laugh. Ron always had a good sense of humor. He was always happy. I miss the times I spend with Ron & Becky and their family. I know he is welcome on the other side and we will meet him again soon. Vio Conditos, my friend till we again.
