Nakary , kazeka y Nelly 🥺
Ronnie was such a unique individual-I will always remember him for two things in particular. One, His kindness and attention to my dad, his Uncle Maurice. They could reminisce about the old days for hours, both having clear memories of Ron’s youth. Ron was so easy to talk to and always made us feel comfortable even if we hadn’t visited in a long time.
Secondly, I’m going to always picture him with his accordion in hand. We loved that entertainment as kids, and even my kids remember him for it at family reunions. He graciously played “Oh Danny Boy” at my Dads funeral. It was one of Uncle Maurice’s favorite songs , and everyone remembers that tender performance. Thanks Ron, for caring about family and making us smile.
Our hearts are with your Pia family in your loss. I am envisioning Ronnie with his mom, greeting his Dad, and my Dad, all the aunts and uncles of his youth, and so importantly his own brothers, and all who have gone before. That must be sweet. He’s with those angels now.
Lots of love cousin,
Nancy Pia Bergstrom
Uncle Ron,
I love you very much! You were a beautiful person who accept everyone for who they were. I will forever cherish all the great memories we share. I will miss Traveling the world with you, having deep conversations with you about anything and everything, and I will miss you laughing with you. You had a huge heart and the love you had for your friends and our family was endless. You were always willing to help anyone and you were the true definition of loyalty and love. I remember being 4 or 5 years old running around your backyard with sparklers on July 4th and eating your amazing animal shaped pancakes in the morning. I will always remember your camera being glued around your neck, ready to capture life's beautiful moments. I will never forget my last trip to Wendover, Nevada with you and Vovo. On our drive back home to SLC, we got pulled over because you were driving over 100 MPH. And of course, Vovo being Vovo, she interrupted the police officer to ask if I could take a picture with them because she wanted to remember her first time being pulled over. You were not thrilled and neither were the cops, but they agreed to the picture anyway. After Vovo took her picture, they handed Ron the ticket and sent us on our way. I will never forget the last time you came to visit us in California because we talked for hours. Even though you were supposed to be on vacation, you volunteered to help my mom fix a few things around the house. You also helped me with my vinyl record collection while we jammed to an Iron Butterfly vinyl that my Mom gave me. And when you found out that you were going to see Mendalson in-person, you were so excited because you hadn't hugged him in nearly 6 years. Ron didnt care that Mendalson was an hour's drive away and Ron didn't care that he would only get to spend 30 minutes with him, he just wanted to go support him and show him that he loved him no matter what. Uncle Ron, you left us too soon! I love you so much and you will be missed by so many people! Thank you for always being you and thank you for always accepting me for me! Love you so much!
Ron was such a great guy and very talented craftsman! His work will live on at Kearns St. Ann School and St. Ann Parish!
It was truly a pleasure to have know and worked with Ron. He was a wonderful person and a great legacy to the Pia family. My heartfelt sympathy for this loss.
