Rosella H Arnold passed peacefully on April 14th, 2022, in the presence of family members at the age of 91 in Murray Utah. She was born in Ault Colorado on November 20th, 1930. She moved with her family to Fruita Colorado when she was 7 years old. She attended school in Fruita Colorado and graduated from Fruita Monument High School in 1949. She attended college at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Rosella was first married to Duane J Diefenderfer in January of 1951. They had three children, Carla K in July of 1951, James Craig in July of 1954, and Melinda Sue in April of 1957. She also gained a lifelong Brother-In-Law, John (Fender) Diefenderfer. Rosella was fortunate to find love again in her marriage to Richard (Dic) Arnold in March 1975 when she became the loving Stepmother to Sandra (Sandy) Diane and Elizabeth (Betsy) Ann. In addition to her children, she is survived by 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Aside from her family life, she had a colorful and long career until she reached the age of 80 selling real estate in the Salt Lake City area. In addition to her professional life, she was a member of Cottonwood Presbyterian Church where she participated in the bell choir, church choir, the Cruisers, the Mariners the hanging of the greens, a Deacon, and a Senior Youth Fellowship Leader. She also volunteered as a sub-for-Santa and voter registration.

In her personal life, she loved camping, fishing, snowmobiling, exploring the 4 corners, Native American lore, and arts, sewing, painting and crochet, gardening, antiquing “junking”, traveling, and riding her motorcycle.

She was proceeded in death, by her parents, Eddie and Dora Hughes, her brothers Robert Edward and Harold Pete, sister Dora (Kathy) Katheryn, her son James (Jim) Craig, and great-grandchildren Bryce Bradley and Brooke Elizabeth.

The viewing service will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, Sandy, Utah on Saturday, April 23rd from 10 AM-12 PM. The celebration of life and service will be held at Cottonwood Presbyterian Church located at 1580 East Vine Street (6100 South), Murray Utah 84121 on Friday, April 29th at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cottonwood Presbyterian Church www.cottonwoodpres.org Go with the Grace of God, safe journey home, until we meet again.
