Rulene West Williams beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend completed her mortal journey on February 10, 2021. She passed in her home of 58 years in Holladay Utah surrounded by her two sons, sisters and grandsons. Mom was born on August 17, 1940 in Lehi, Utah to Rulon Lester West and Kathleen Aiken West, the second of four sisters. Mom’s family resided in Lehi, Orem, Pleasant Grove and South Salt Lake. She graduated from Granite High School in 1958. Mom married Gary Davis Williams on March 23, 1962 in Salt Lake City. She spent many years as a homemaker, lovingly raising her two sons before going to work for Travelers Insurance as a claim’s adjuster where she established many lifelong friendships. After retirement Mom and Dad spent many happy years together going on cruises, cheering for the Jazz and Utes and most importantly never missing a sporting event of her grandsons. Mom and Dad were able to celebrate 50 years of marriage on March 23, 2012. Sadly, Dad passed on May 21, 2012 and Mom was heartbroken losing her beloved Gary. She bravely carried on after Dad’s passing as she loved watching her grandsons and great grandson grow into fine young men. Mom loved everyone unconditionally and was a peacemaker by nature. She loved family reunions, playing cards, watching her grandsons play sports, trips to Tabiona, visiting with her sisters and spending time with her great grandson Armani. Mom will be missed terribly but we take comfort knowing that she is together again with Dad.

Mom is survived by her two sons Gary Dee and Jeffrey Rulon (Patricia) and grandsons Frank, Tyson and Harley and great grandson Armani. She is also survived by her beloved sisters Constance West Adams, Kathleen (Ron) Winningham, Jeanne (Alan) Thornton as well as many nieces, nephews, lifelong neighbors and friends. Preceded in death by her parents and her husband Gary.

Per Mom’s request, there will be no funeral. Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 South) in Sandy Utah. In lieu of flowers, Mom would like you to take a loved one out to eat and spend some quality time with them. We are so sorry for lost. Mother enjoyed many hours of playing cards, talking on the phone, going to Torrey, and working together.
