Ruth Doris Hlavaty, age 104, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024 at her home in Murray, Utah.
Ruth was born February 9, 1920, in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of Walter and Marie Crispin Wedel. She met and married Harold Joseph Hlavaty in Chicago. When she moved to Salt Lake City, Ruth attended Southeast Christian Church for many years.
Ruth loved to go walking in the Murray City Cemetery every morning with her daughter, Cheryl. She also enjoyed swimming, traveling, visiting family and grandchildren. She especially loved golden retrievers and many other animals.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 3, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Larkin Sunset Gardens (1950 E Dimple Dell Rd) with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
