Carol Buck Romph

1931 ~ 2018

Our beloved Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma (Grr) and friend Carol Buck Romph passed away peacefully with family by her side at Beehive Homes of Riverton on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. She was born May 19, 1931 in Amalga, Utah to James William and Maud Melvina Jenson Buck. Carol moved to Nampa, Idaho with her family as a young girl. She graduated from Nampa High School and raised her family in Nampa. Nampa was her home.

Carol was married to LaDean (Dean) Wayne Romph in the Salt Lake City Temple on December 15, 1948. Dean and Carol are together again after an almost 30-year separation by death.

Carol was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had the opportunity of teaching early morning Seminary in Nampa, Idaho for 11 years. She worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement at age 74. She was called as a Temple worker in the Boise Temple where one of her favorite assignments was assisting new brides. One of her stated greatest accomplishments was "Raising two young boys into great men and dads ‚ this was helped because God sent me great spirits that I couldn't ruin. And I also had a wonderful husband setting the example of being a good father."

She is survived by two sons, Kevin Dean (Julie) and Craig Allen; six grandchildren, Jason Romph (Emily), Justin Romph (Traci), Brenda Mackay (Chad), Brandon Romph (Stephanie), Trenton Romph (Kelsey) and Maura Mendenhall (Troy).

Carol is a loving Grr to thirteen (just days away from fourteen) great grandchildren ‚ no doubt she is holding that baby girl in one arm for just a bit with sweet Nevaeh in her other arm.

Carol is also survived by three siblings, Lucile Jensen, Wendell Buck and Babs McGhee.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 6that 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary,3688 West 12600 South, Riverton, Utahwith a visitation at10:00 a.m.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 8that 12:30 PM at the LDS church121 North Canyon Street, Nampa, Idaho. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell, Idaho.
