Ryan Scott Saxton “Hector”

1975 ~ 2023

Our beloved Ryan quietly passed away on May 22, 2023 surrounded by family. He is survived by parents Richard and Mireya Saxton, sister Taryn Saxton, many cousins, relatives, and friends.

Ryan had a giant heart, and always thought of others first. He worked with the homeless in Salt Lake City donating countless hours to improve the quality of their lives. He was very much loved by all those who knew him.

Ryan made a career working in the food industry. He prided himself on quality work ensuring it was done correctly. His favorite work was being a sushi chef. He was a great connoisseur of food and a marvelous cook. If he fed you, he loved you.

Ryan had a love and an ear for music. He was a pianist last under the tutelage of the late Composer/Conductor Jeff Manookian. He was also very talented on the violin. He had exceptional memory, memorized many songs, and was able to replicate any music he heard onto the piano. Ryan also learned ballet, in his early years, under William Christensen (Mr. C), Founder of Ballet West and performed in several local productions, including The Nutcracker at Ballet West.

Ryan was a natural athlete, growing up he participated in many sports, but enjoyed baseball and basketball the most. The Philadelphia Eagles were his favorite NFL Team; The San Antonio Spurs his favorite NBA Team, and he loved going to Utah Jazz and Bees games!

Ryan, you left us much too soon, and will be sorely missed by all; there are holes in our hearts. You are a choice son of your Heavenly Father and He has a work for you there. We all love you deeply, and will keep your memories close. Rest peacefully. Until we meet again.

Sorry for the loss to the family.
We spent mid teen years hanging out and playing ball.
He was a good dude.
